We’ve got a name, a logo, a trailer, a Steam page and more! It’s also the official kickoff of the 2024 NFL season, so I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to share this with you all. I can’t express how grateful I am for you to be here following along on this journey.
I was fortunate enough to work with the very talented Nicole “SincereSeal” Wood on all the character designs and artwork for my Steam page (more on that below!). I think the illustration above captures the spirit of the game perfectly with its vivid colors, retro vibe, and fun characters. I also love we were able to include a blatant reference to the Denver Broncos! You can follow Nicole’s work on Instagram here, and shout out to
for getting me in touch with Nicole! The Title
The game is called *drum roll* Fantasy Football Tactics! This was always the name. I have the timestamps from when I reserved the domain years ago to prove it! Which, BTW, finally has some content and a press kit https://fantasyfootballtactics.com/.
If you know me, you know I love fantasy football, puns and double meanings. So, I put it all right in the title. While evoking a magical setting, the word “Fantasy” also implies a healthy dose of numbers, stats and all things nerdy. The alliteration should also conjure thoughts of Final Fantasy Tactics, one of the main inspirations behind the gameplay and visual style. I hope you like it!
The Trailer
This process has led me to pick up several new (mostly non-technical) skills along the way. So in addition to being a coder, 3D animator and composer, I now know how to cut trailers! Next I just need to work on my “In a world…” voice :)
The Steam Page
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about game development, it’s that Steam is a Big. Deal. Steam is not just a digital store front for PC games, it’s THE digital store front for PC games. Most successful indie developers likely first found success on Steam. With 132 million and counting active users a month, it’s easy to see why. It’s very competitive, especially for smaller developers, but I’m thrilled to be throwing my wizard hat into the ring!
At the heart of Steam is something called Wishlists. Wishlists are the currency games preparing to launch work with. A player comes along, finds a game they’re interested in, and clicks a single button “Add to Wishlist.” The more Wishlists, the better! Getting lots of Wishlists can lead to:
Attracting interest from publishers
Securing further launches on home consoles such as Nintendo Switch
More visibility and promotion on Steam itself
Increased sales on launch day
In any case, my Steam page will give me insight into the appetite for my game and will help me notify people when a playable demo is available—and when I release the game itself!
I even worked with some amazing folks at Allcorrect Games to ensure the page is readable in a few non-English languages (special thanks to Evgeniy, Valeriy, Irina, and the team of translators for your work).
Without further adieu, here’s my Steam page for Fantasy Football Tactics! I hope you’ll check it out and consider adding it to your Wishlist.
This Is Just The Kickoff!
This is a big milestone, but the road map is still quite long. Fantasy Football Tactics will release in 2025 for both PC and Mobile platforms. While I’m busy coding in my cave, I’d be eternally grateful if you’d help me spread the word. Below are some handy links you can share with any gamers you think might interested!

Thank You!
As always thank you for taking the time to read and support me in the development of Fantasy Football Tactics. Let me know what you think! I’ll be setting my sights on further development and playable alpha builds. Until next time, may the force be with Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. Always.
Wishlisted!
